InfoSmart Systems treats your privacy seriously. We will respect your information and undertake to apply with all UK Data Protection legislation currently in force.

The information we hold

We try to limit the information collected to that that allows us to validate and process your application. The information collected is mostly regarding your place of work. This information will include the name and address of the home, the telephone and fax numbers and the type of care provided.

The only personal information we hold is your surname, forename, nick name, organisation, job role and learning tracking information.

If you have chosen to personalise your homepage then your personal preferences you have chosen will be held.

How do we use this information?

In the first part this information is used to validate your registration. We aim to ensure that all our members are care home owners, managers, or have close links to the care home groups that have registered to use ClickforCare.

In general we use the personal information provided to us to identify personal preferences and match your needs with relevant services.

From time to time we receive requests to disclose the identity of our members. We do not and will not disclose the identity of our members to any third parties unless we are legally required to do so.

Limited information regarding site usage and membership will be provided to our sponsors and cardholders. See commercial relationships for more information.

Discussion forums

The discussion forums may be used by non-members as this allows for a more diverse forum and allows us to seek opinions from other interested parties. For this reason members are asked to re-register for the discussion forums where they can choose a different username and password to that used to access the Web Site. On registering for the forums you only need to supply your email address so your password can be sent to you. After registration your password can be changed and your email address can be hidden from public view if you so wish.

If when registering for the Web Site you chose to be notified of these offering then as part of this service we will notify you by email or fax. At no time will your email be supplied to third parties unless you expressly wish it to be. From time to time an advertiser may insert a promotional leaflet in the newsletter that is sent to all members. As part of this service we provide the advertiser with a list of recipients. The information provided will only display the care home name and region and will not include any information that could personally identify you. This information is freely available through other information sources not linked to ClickforCare.
